For everyone that isn't familiar with us: We are a small, community-based server that is aiming to progress from classic to WotLK. All on the same 3.3.5a core and in several months. We started this project because we wanted to experience the old content with the improvements that WotLK brought – for example, the reworked talents. So if you're interested in experiencing the old World of Warcraft with viable classes and with less grinding, this is the server for you.
We have an active userbase of about 20 people right now. While we would like to welcome new faces if you expect a big population, you're at the wrong address. At the same time, if you're looking for a small dedicated community, we might be just what you're looking for.
We try to be as transparent as possible and to listen to our community's feedback. Would love to see you on our server. The release of AQ40 is on the horizon, and TBC will follow shortly after, so this is an excellent time to join.

Concerning the criticism:
Because of our small population, having more than one guild might not be practical at the moment, but we will not stand in the way of a second guild. In hindsight, the old way of leading this sole guild with strict rules was the wrong direction for a server of this size. The former Community Manager and Guild Master is currently not playing on the server, and a different person stepped up to replace him as Guild Master. We're not planning on filling the position of Community Manager right now. The new guild leadership removed a lot of the unnecessary rules, and everyone that wants to participate in raids can join. There is no loot council – everyone rolls for items as it should be.
We're concerned that some people decided to call us, the administration, corrupt. We don't know why people feel this way. We never have and never will abuse GM commands for our own or someone else's benefit. At the moment, the administration consists of two people who are the only ones with access to GM accounts.
We don't have a lot of experience hosting private servers, so we didn't account for everything before we started the project. That means that we had to make some difficult decisions in reaction to people abusing the systems we made available. It is natural that not everyone agrees with these changes and that some people feel like they have a disadvantage because of it. The only thing we can do is learn from the mistakes and try to avoid similar ones in the future.
Finally, concerning the experience rates, some people had the opinion that 3.5x is not high enough. We are looking for a compromise between catching up quickly and still making the leveling process a time investment. We will increase the rates with every major content release, so it gets easier to start at level 1 and we increased the maximum rate to 4x already. We also decided to double the total experience on weekends – meaning that for example, 4x exp rate becomes 8x from Friday to Sunday.
